Tomáš Kerle is a professional musician, drumming facilitator and editor-in-chief of the „afro.cz“ website.
He is a co-founder of the bands Marimba Mama, Pararingapatam and Barati Squad, freelance percussionist, and a musical director in the FireDance Company. He teaches rhythm workshops and the seminars Cesta Rytmu which connects drumming and bodypercussion.
Throughout his career, he has had the opportunity to cooperate with many artists on the theatre/dance scene, with the Czech fireart group PaLiTchi, german choreographer Natascha Noack (from the dance project “You are what you see, you see what you are”) and African artists such as Drissa Koné and Oumou Mariko, for example.
Recently he started to cooperate as a live musician with top Prague DJ’s (Cabaret Manana and Ross the Boss) and also found a big passion for creating music for site-specific projects and performances.
