Ian Mikyska is a Czechoslovak composer based in Prague, mostly working outside concert music, making installations, texts, theatre, walks, radio, and video.
Usually based on sound in some sense, the work he makes often connects several media while repeatedly exploring connections between percept and concept, between ideas and present-moment experience, often pointing towards the impermanence and ephemerality of our being, ecological topics, meditative practices, and our experience of the everyday.
